MEMBERSHIP Q&A
Q: Am I qualified to be a member?
A: Anyone over 18 years old, interested in practicing English in a cozy environment, and learning the skills of communication and leadership is qualified.
Q: What can I learn in a Toastmasters Club?
A: The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth. Furthermore, at LEGACY, you can earn extra benefits, practicing English and having fun. For details about the Education program, click here.
Q: How should I apply for membership?
A: Attend our meeting and request a Toastmasters Membership Application Form. Fill out and submit the form together with NT$3900, which covers the registration fee and the annual membership dues (NT$2900). A new member will receive 2 Toastmasters International manuals and monthly Toastmaster magazine from the World Headquarters.
Q: What is CC?
A: CC means Competent Communicator (formerly CTM, Competent Toastmaster). It is the first award in the Toastmasters
program, given to someone who has completed the 10 speeches in the Communication and
Leadership Program manual. As a CC, you will receive a Badge, a Certificate, a Letter from World Headquarters informing your employer of your achievement, and 2 advanced manuals. You can then continue to pursue the communication track and/or challenge the leadership track.
Q: What are my duties as a member?
A: A member is not obligated or restricted in certain ways, however we hope each of Legacy's members is passionate and committed in serving and attending the club functions.
